In addition, the penetration rate of OLED displays in smartphones has exceeded 30%, and OLED has officially become The representative display technology of high-end smart phones.

Before Apple iPhone X adopted OLED display, the mobile phone brands mainly used OLED display in the market. Except Samsung itself, who is the biggest buyer in the global market? According to relevant data, in 2016, Samsung smartphones accounted for 85% of the global smartphone market with OLED displays, OPPO accounted for about 6% of the market, and vivo accounted for about 5% of the market. 到了2016年,OPPO/vivo在尝到了OLED显示屏的甜头后,进一步加强了与三星的合作,加大了刚性OLED显示屏的采购力度,其配备OLED显示屏的手机出货量也快速增加,并带来了两个品牌的总体出货量攀升。

根据CINNOResearch中国市场智能手机月度销量监测统计分析报告显示,2016年国内市场中消费者累计购买OLED类型手机总量达9900万部,比2015年大幅增长144%。在这接近一亿部的OLED屏幕手机中,除了三星占比17%外,以OPPO、vivo和金立为代表的国产手机几乎全部包揽。其中OPPO销量3670万部,市场占比第一达37.1%;vivo销量2790万部,市场占比第二达28.2%;金立销量580万,名列第四。

同样在当年,OPPO和vivo以出货量为9000万部、7500万部的出货量总数,一路攀升至中市场的出货量排名第二、第三位。在全球市场上则攀升到了第四、第五位。

最近两年就更不用说了,OPPO/vivo仍然是三星除它自家之外,全球最大的刚性OLED手机显示屏的采购商,两家累计起来的刚性OLED手机显示屏接近亿片的规模。OPPO/vivo也借助刚性OLED显示屏的性价比与超薄、超轻优势,设计出了一系列在中国内地市场上“颜值爆表”的明星机型,甚至很多机型的单品出货量都是一路领先同行。

不过,要说到对OLED显示技术的贡献上,苹果还是行业中不可忽视的重要功臣。

先不说苹果直接采用柔性OLED显示屏来设计平面OLED显示屏手机的“浪费之举”,直接让柔性OLED提前进入到智能手机显示技术的主战场,并把全面屏显示技术完美的融合进来,极大的提升了OLED显示技术在智能手机领域的地位。

事实上,如果没有苹果在其推广视网膜LCD显示屏时,在业内力挺LTPS背板技术,也很难让OLED显示屏能够快速突破显示分辨率低下所带来的视觉效果极差局面。在OLED发展的早期,由于显示分辨率的低下,OLED显示屏不但耗电量很高,而且相素间的差异性也很明显,显示色差十分严重。

LTPS背板技术的实现,除了让OLED显示屏可以通过子相素来实现多相素混色改善显示效果外,LTPS背板技术也支持更强大的驱动IC,以软件优化的方式来协调各个相素间的显示差异,得到更一致的显示效果。

当然,LTPS背板技术的另一大功劳,就是让三星和LGD都迅速突破了OLED背板技术的柔性化,在2013年前后都推出了自己的量产型柔性OELD显示屏,真正的实现了柔性OLED的量产化。

而当苹果在其智能手表上应用OLED显示技术时,苹果以其独特的显示驱动技术,几乎克服了OLED显示技术在各发光材料间的显示效能均衡性难题,使得三星的柔性OLED显示屏得到了质的飞跃,柔性OLED显示技术,也在显示分辨率上,迅速突破到2KK的水平,在色域上也真正的达到了与LCD一样的色彩一致性。苹果iPhone X则把智能手机的OLED显示技术,推到了行业的历史高峰。
